Lime Valley Mill Meat CSA

Meat CSA
(Community Supported Agriculture)

CCSA models differ somewhat from farm to farm. In general terms members sign-up and pay in advance for a share, which they pick up regularly during the season. The up-front monetary commitment from members allows the farmer to more efficiently and effectively grow his/her products. Meanwhile, members are more connected to their local food economy and have a personal connection to the farm, other members, and the people growing their food. Plus, members receive wonderful, fresh local food, often receiving varieties that are not available in the grocery store.

Meat CSA at Lime Valley Mill

All our quality meat is raised naturally with no antibiotics or added growth hormones. Our animals are fed the highest quality feed grown on our farm where we Do Not use herbicides or pesticides.

Our meat is process at Smucker’s Meats, a USDA inspected facility in Mount Joy. All cuts are vacuum-packed and flash frozen to insure that excellent taste is preserved.

In addition, our beef is dry-aged to perfection. Smucker’s hang our beef for several weeks in their coolers to maximize the flavor.

The CSA will include Beef, Pork and Lamb products. Each month for 12 months you will receive 6 frozen products. See the attached sheet for the products included each month. If you are unable to eat certain products do to medical or religious reasons, we will gladly exchange them for similarly priced products.

Each CSA share is designed for 1 to 2 people at $480.00 per year or a double share designed for a family of 4 at $920.00 per year. This breaks down to $40.00 per share per month for high quality meat products.
