Webelos Engineer Activity Pin Workshop

Bring your 4th and 5th grade Cub Scouts to the historic Lime Valley Mill.  Learn how the old mill operates with gears and pulleys. Learn how electricity is produced and how it travels to your home.  We will visit three bridges within walking distance and talk about their construction.

Lots of hands on activities.  By the end of the workshop the boys will have earned their activity pin.

Food, Fibers and Farming Badge Workshop

This workshop is open to all Junior Girl Scouts.  Learn about raising farm animals.  Here on the farm we have a flock of Cheviot sheep.  We will share with you our sheep operation.  What do they eat, how often, what living conditions do they need, what do sheep give us? 

You  will also learn about raising crops. What equipment and resources are needed.  The workshop will end with a tour of the historic Lime Valley Mill.  You will learn how flour and corn meal are processed.

Lots of hands on activities.  By the end of the workshop the girls will have earned their badge.
